Introduction
Neohaler is a single dose Dry Powdered Inhaler (DPI) device. It is inhaled for long term treatment of controlling Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema or both. Neohaler being a DPI, does not use a propellant and does not require hand and breath coordination for proper delivery of drug. The inhaler helps relax the muscles in your lungs and helps treat symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath.
Arcapta Neohaler
Arcapta Neohaler is inhaled as a once-daily, steroid-free, long-term treatment for controlling symptoms in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. By relaxing the muscles in your lungs, it can help treat symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. It delivers a full 24 hours of better breathing, working in five minutes from the first dose.
Arcapta Neohaler does not replace your rescue inhaler for sudden symptoms, so always have your rescue medication handy. It is also not intended to treat asthma. Arcapta capsules are delivered through the Neohaler inhaler, which uses sensory cues to help you confirm that you've used the inhaler correctly.
