Introduction
Respimat is an advanced drug delivery device in comparison to other MDIs (Metered Dose Inhalers) or DPIs (Dry Powder Inhalers) used for the treatment of asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD), and other respiratory conditions. It is a propellant-free inhaler. It delivers measured dose of medicine in the form of fine mist. It is a multi dose, hand held inhaler.
Combivent® Respimat®
Combivent Respimat is a combination of ipratropium bromide (as the monohydrate) and albuterol sulfate. The Combivent Respimat inhaler is a hand held, pocket sized oral inhalation device that uses mechanical energy to generate a slow moving aerosol cloud of medication from a metered volume of the drug solution. The Combivent Respimat inhaler has an orange-colored cap. A Respimat cartridge contains 120 puffs (equal to 120 doses of medicine) after you prepare your inhaler for the first use. There is enough medicine for 30 days when it is used as 1 puff 4 times a day.
